Charity Wedding Favours – Cancer Research

While we all love wedding favours of every shape and size, from traditional sugared almonds to quirky favour gifts, the truth is that they can sometimes be a bit of a waste of money. I’m sure I just heard a gasp of disbelief from all you brides out there – I’m sorry but it’s true! There will always be few favours left on tables, thrown in the bin as soon as guests get home, or simply placed in a drawer and forgotten about.

Charity Wedding Favours Cancer ResearchCharity wedding favours may not seem the most romantic of wedding accessories, but they can often be a better use of your wedding budget, and can have more meaning for you and your guests.

Most people have a close family member or friend that has been affected by cancer, and the work that Cancer Research does in looking for answers is appreciated by all, so most guests will be happy to know you’ve made a donation on their behalf rather than presenting them with a box of candies.

Cancer Research asks that you make a minimum donation of £2 per guest, for which you will receive personalised favour cards and, if you want them, stylish pin badges. If you want something a little different, Jenny Packham has designed a gorgeous range of pin badges featuring swallows and shooting stars for which you need to donate at least £2.50 per guest.

In addition to wedding favours, Cancer Research also has a charity wedding gift list service. You can create a Give in Celebration page and guests can choose to make a donation rather than buying you a more traditional present. These services from Cancer Research allow you to use your wedding celebrations to help them move forward in the fight against cancer.
