Eco Friendly Wedding Bunting

Apologies for the lack of posts last week; a nasty dose of flu had me pretty much confined to my bed. I’m easing myself back in gently this week in the hope I’ll be well enough to go to the Wedding Fair at Bluewater on Saturday!

One of the major trends for weddings, and especially wedding decorations, in 2012 is eco-friendly, reusable, or sustainable products. I particularly like this beautiful paper heart bunting from The Green Gables, which is available at notonthehighstreet.com.

Each of the large and small hearts are cut from handmade paper embedded with wild flower seeds. These are then threaded onto lengths of jute string or cream satin ribbon to lengths of 2.5 or 5 metres. It would make the perfect decoration for a rustic country wedding, particularly if you are having the reception outdoors.

The bunting is strong enough to be used many times, but once you have finished with it you can plant it in your garden and wait for the wild flowers to appear. Just imagine celebrating your one year wedding anniversary surrounded by wild flowers grown from your wedding decorations!

Visit notonthehighstreet.com to order the bunting or check out more eco friendly wedding decorations from The Green Gables.
