Wedding Centerpieces – the center of attention

You might think that wedding centerpieces are just another wedding decoration, but as they will literally be the center of attention at your dinner tables during the wedding breakfast they do deserve a little thought.

Traditionally wedding centerpieces are floral, and this is still a popular option. Two key trends are tall slim vases or oversized martini glasses, that guests can talk around, with a mass of single color flowers at the top, or short wide angular vases filled with structured flowers such as roses packed tightly together. Floral wedding centerpieces can be combined with candles or special LED lights.

Floral wedding centerpieces can be expensive and many couples prefer something a little different on their dinner tables. Edible centerpieces are a popular choice with cupcake towers, mini chocolate fountains, or even baskets of fruit making an appearance.

Anything can be used as wedding centerpieces, and if possible try to link your choice to your wedding theme. Musical instruments wrapped in garlands, miniature artists easels with favorite prints, significant model cars, or ornate lamps can all make great wedding centerpieces and create a talking point at your reception. You could even provide your guests with the materials to make their own centerpiece in an inter-table competition!

Whatever you choose for your wedding centerpieces, make sure you put some thought into them and that they suit the style and theme of your wedding.
